Ordinary Membership
a) Ordinary membership is open to all government agencies, professional associations, institutions of higher learning, corporations or other entities which are engaged directly or indirectly in the promotional activities, ownership, design, construction, installation, operation and maintenance of buildings or the manufacturing of building materials, products and components.
b) Each ordinary member shall nominate one person to represent itself in the society. The representative shall be eligible to vote and hold office in the society. In the event that this person is unable to fulfill the duty of representing the Ordinary Member, the Ordinary Member shall be responsible for nominating another person as replacement by sending in a formal letter to the Secretariat. However, the Committee shall reserve the right under Clause 8.8 to appoint another Ordinary Member for any offices held by the member.
Associate Membership
a) Associate membership is open to all individuals who are engaged directly or indirectly in the promotional activities, ownership, design, construction, installation, operation and maintenance of buildings or the manufacturing of building materials, products and components.
b) Associate members shall not have the rights to vote and to hold office
in the Society.
Foreign Ordinary Membership
a) Foreign Ordinary Membership is open to all foreign professional associations, institutions of higher learning, corporations or other entities which are engaged directly or indirectly in the promotional activities, ownership, design, construction, installation, operation and maintenance of buildings or the manufacturing of building materials, products and components and which are not registered in Singapore.
b) Each Foreign Ordinary Member shall nominate one person to represent itself in the society. The representative shall not be eligible to vote and hold office in the society. In the event that this person is unable to fulfill the duty of representing the Foreign Ordinary Member, the Foreign Ordinary Member shall be responsible for nominating another person as replacement by sending in a formal letter to the Secretariat.
Foreign Associate Membership
a) Foreign Associate Membership is open to all individuals who are engaged directly or indirectly in the promotional activities, ownership, design, construction, installation, operation and maintenance of buildings or the manufacturing of building materials, products and components and who are not residents of Singapore.
b) Foreign Associate Members shall not have the right to vote and to hold office in the Society.

Being an international organisation, there are also unlimited opportunities for industry and global networking.

An organisation or a person wishing to join the Society should submit its or his particulars to the Secretary on a prescribed form. The Committee will decide on the application for membership.
